Why did the US change their mind on prohibition

Why did the US change their mind on prohibitionFor the same reasons that the DEA will legalize cannabis!

Increase in crime
Lack of enforcement
loss of money

With the DEA legalizing cannabis they can go after illigal shops which will channel all sales towards legal shops and the tax dollars that the US could generate is huge!  Its a plant that 70% of Americans want legal!

You can have an abortion
You can buy a gun
You can get hammered off alcohol
You can commit crimes
So legalize marijuana and if you do something stupid while taking it then live with it like every other law.

DEA will HAVE to legalize it or look backdated to the rest of the world! get the banjo if they leave the laws like they are! Medical marijuana could help millions!
