Short squeeze Question

Are there just too many outstanding shares to have a short squeeze back into the 60 dollar range like in February ????
Comment by optimi$tic on Jun 09, 2021 12:58pm
please dont mislead ppl it was NEVER in the $60 range. Check fact around Feb 10 in $40 range. As i said before PT set at $30 for reason we will never exceed WEED. Want more assurance? Check both prices from Feb 10 and you will see a pattern.

You are thinking of Aphria, not TILRAY which hit $67 USD on the Feb short squeeze. Very memorable for me as I sold my entire load of Tilray at $65. I owned both APHA and TLRY going into that squeeeze. eom momo

im very well aware however to blankly state in the $60 range isnt completely accurate especially for those who were converted from APHA!!! And at this stage you cannot compare current price vs TLRY's back then. Based on your logic then is TLRY Feb pricing to be the baseline for EVERYONE?? Huh? Then why not state it as the $300 range instead? Why settle for lesser than it was? my ...more

Optimistic It is my understanding that Aphria chose  the Tilray name due to greater brand recognition in USA and likely greater number of  USA investors and market drivers  In this scenario , it is Very possible that a short squeeze ( driven by Reddit ,WSB ) could indeed run as much as before ( stockhouse is showing a price of 63.91 USD on Feb 10) My original post, posed the ...more

You may have missed a previous post i stated: however to blankly state in the $60 range isnt completely accurate especially for those who were converted from APHA Is everyone supposed to look back to achieve $60 again when it never was for APHA holders?

This stock is no longer Aphria there fore I chose the Tilray number of 63.91usd . Tilray's brand recognition may will propel,it back to these heights with help from WSB and of course the greater US investor exposure !!  That's the way I see it .  Lost In The debate was the essence of my question regarding the effect of share price number and whether or not it could reach the ...more

I get your point BUT i also dont call out for nothing to make a fool of myself. What you're not considering is that the current Tilray is just a name change at that, as far as concerned the company is still running as APHA or is this wrong? therefore hence my inaccuracy on the price basis of $60 instead of $40. And the SP post-merger is also reflecting the share conversion and also again as ...more

You just asked the question I've been wondering too. Two answers: a) While there are more shares than before, this time there are far more catalysts, including not just US and EU legalization but also the forseeable end to the Pandemic and reopening, which will increase our bottom line. This makes us more attractive to not just retail buyers, but institutional too. b) MOST IMPORTANT: do not ...more
