Savage quites an anonymous Reddit post
stating the number of craft brewers is outpacing the closures.
How much s more competition a good thing Tilrays craft brewers - who were already struggling when AB dumped them on King Simple Simon?
Tikrays own financials quote the craft brewing association that states the sector declined 1.9%.There might be more brewers - but they're selling less.
Tilray also states that the craft brewers have 'excess capacity' - in other words, they aren't selling as much as they can brew. A clear sign that demand isn't there.
You have to be a bit of a cultist or a Trump fan to refer to a CEO as 'king' - but the only thing Simon is good at is not being able to control costs, poor business decisions - and blaming everything else besides himself for ruining another company.

King Cannabis Ahead of his Game
In 2023, the number of breweries grew to an all-time high of 9,683, directly employing 191,421 people. Despite the year being challenging for the craft beer industry—overall production declined by 1.0% from 2022—brewery openings outpaced closures, though the rate of openings has slowed dramatically in recent years. Because craft beer is priced at a premium, sales dollars grew in 2023, despite the small decline in volume.
