To Clarify Q vs K

Quinn

Long-Term Long Only Investor who uses a dollar cost averaging strategy over very long investment timeframes.  The strategy was developed and modified from the methods used by Warren Buffett after countless hours of research.

K

Primarily using Short positions hedged for risk exposure with a 10/90 split of Long+ Short.  The strategy deployed is a Short and Distort which has been used well before electronic trading has been in place.

Q+K Have been butting heads for 4 years now dating back to when K placed a large short position on Zenabis. The head butting, and continous back and forth, carried over to the HEXO formum after ZENA and HEXO merged and has (unfortunately) carried over to the TLRY forum since TLRY bought out HEXO Corp.

This history is recorded in both of our post histories and can be viewed by all who are curious

Longs invest to see the shareprice go up over time.  Shorts sell borrowed shares with the expectation to replace them later by purchasing shares cheaper later on and taking the difference as a profit.  When you see shares in short those are shares that need to be bought off the open market in order to close a short position.

Shorts are essentially counting on folks to sell at a loss.  They also hate the thought that a Long position investor will refuse to sell at a loss as it prevents them from profiting.

If you research Warren Buffets rules for investing one of them is "Never Sell at a Loss".  Warren Buffett makes more money than he losses as a result of picking carefully, adding on dips and never selling at a loss regardless of the time needed.

To Clarify:  I am not suggesting anyone dump a ton of money into TLRY without researching the company.

Even with research and a great deal of patience you need to set reasonable budgets and strategies for how many shares to purchase and when.

I do believe this company will do well, I do believe the shares are trading super cheap and I do believe the Cannabis sector will be massive once the US opens up however none of this matters unless you research and your findings are the same.

Forums are a battleground between Longs and Shorts, understand how the two differ so that you may be able to understand the possible motive behind someone's post but never trade on anything negative or anything positive without first researching it on your own and applying some common sense.

Hope this helps a few folks

Best Regards,
