The first few years of Trump’s presidency saw steady, low unemployment. The COVID-19 pandemic saw a dramatic spike up to 14.8 percent unemployment in March 2020.
I think it's fair to say the low years is just a carry over from Obama. 14.8% in March 2020 is almost a full 10 months before Biden took control. As for the pandemic, Trump ignored the warnings and said it would be gone in no time. He continuesly hid the truth, made up hairbrain ideas like drinking bleach. The fact is it was out of control by the time Biden took office. Although many may not have liked the restrictions, lock downs etc. the numbers did start to come down. In the end I do agree that it probably doesn't matter who's in office. Legalization is inevitable at some point. Hopefully that's good for all our bank accounts.
