Researchers from Charles Darwin University (CDU) and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia made their discovery via an in-vitro study using a specific extract from Cannabis sativa on melanoma cells in a laboratory setting.

They published their findings in a paper titled “Evaluating the Mechanism of Cell Death in Melanoma Induced by the Cannabis Extract PHEC-66,” on January 31, in CellsJournal.
