Beverages had the most growth out of any category on 4/20.I just recently started drinking the cannabis infused seltzers...and they are awesome! Could really shake up the alcohol industry as they are sugar free, carb free and no hangover...I could see this really catching on
There are so many good ones. I prefer them to smoking and edibles.
Once 6 packs and larger packs are on the shelves it will certainly take a share from smoking cannabis and drinking alcohol. Tilray’s next stadium move is into Florida Gators. Since younger generations are using drinks that their parents and grandparents never used, infused beverages will likely be great with that market. ShockTop Infused 0 alcohol and 0 Calories but lots of flavours and a good buzz.
Just got a email about 2 new Tilray drinks on the medical side. Two new flavour-forward drinks are here – and there’s lots to love about ‘em: • All natural flavours and colouring • No sugar • Light carbonation • 10mg of nano-infused THC And that’s all bottled up in a super sleek can.
I've been seeing a lot of the Whiteclaw drinkers shift to these cannabis drinks so that got me thinking this could be a huge opportunity. I started looking into the Hard Seltzer Market size and trends within it and then I saw that Whiteclaw had a 58% market share in 2019 when the overall market was valued at around $3 billion. This shrunk to 45% by 2022 but the market grew to $13.2 billion and is expected to continue growing at a rate of 13.6% through 2030. I can see these Cannabis drinks overtaking that market in time and this was one of my main reasons for increasing my stake in this company substantially. I'm currently over 40000 shares long on TLRY.
Great info! this is a good sign for the future. Molson Coors will regret selling Truss to us.
