Attention: Keelette Club Members

Despite many promoters publicly assaulting me with repeated nonsense on issues they can't provide evidence to support - many of them are actually members of the Keelette Fan Club.
Many promoters have in fact, sent me PMs asking that I explain the German medical market - and Tilrays share of it.

So I'll try and keep my explanation at a level you can comprehend - PM me if you need more help.

-As below, the German medical market is estimated to be $427 million USD annually.
-20% of that would equate to about $85 million USD

Here are Tilrays actual reported revenues for ALL International Medical Cannabis sales - That's in the entire world, not just Germany:

Year ending 2022.  $ 52 million USD
Year ending 2023.  $ 40 million USD

and on the January 9/24 financials for the first 6 months of the 2024 fiscal year
$26 million (or approx $52 million extrapolated for the full year)

AGAIN - try to understand, that's $52 million in total - for ALL international medical cannabis sales - per Tilrays own financial reports.

Let's be gracious and guess that Tilrays sales to Germany were $45 million of the $52 million - that would equate to about 10% market share of the German medical cannabis market.

Keeleretes have in the past, thanked me in PMs - please, there's no need - I'm glad to help educate you.

Tilray Brands - German Cannabis Legalization Update

How big is Germany's medical cannabis market?

According to Prohibition Partners, Germany represents half of Europe's medical cannabis market, with 2023 sales of approximately €390 million ($427 million) to over 230,000 patients. Dec 29, 2023

I've said it before and I'll say it again, competition will be fierce in Germany. No one has 1st mover advantage anymore. The 10% estimate Keeler extrapolated seems reasonable if you consider Tilray has around 12% at home where Tilray it is far more established in the market. The same tier 1 competition in North America will exist in Germany plus many more from Europe. 10% is a great start ...more

Who said Tilray is far more established at home?  Where did you get the fact?  Actually the set up in Germany is far more lucrative since Canada has so many hostile regulations and taxes at this time.  Just a another statement from nowhere
Comment by CaneIsAbel on Feb 17, 2024 11:52am
And those hostile cannabis taxes and regulations in Canada are set to change by most expectations. Not fact yet but review under way. TLRY will be there to benefit from these changes. Another major catalyst look forward too post April review.

And so will everyone else benefit equally, so bottom line will improve, but that won't affect market share, as everyone is on the same playing field, I don't see your point?
Comment by Oldweed on Feb 17, 2024 12:03pm
Not sure I get your point, Tilray has been operating in Canada in a fully legal market for many years, everyone in the Canadian legal market works under the same set of rules. Germany is not yet fully legal and US only just opening up the medical market, so from my perspective no Canadian company can be as established in Germany as they are at home. As for complaining about rules, it's a moot ...more

Tilray Brands already commands 20 percent of the medical market share in Germany oldweed. Its not easy building facilities obtaining licenses and contracts that Tilray Germany has been cultivating for years. It takes 100s of millions in investment marketing and building trust. Tilray Brands has done that and is more established in Europe with brand loyalty than in Canada. Domestic market share ...more
