The model will work in Canada once

The government treats Cannabis like alcohol. There has been many government mis steps regarding legalization hence the review. Tilray Brands is not responsible for a gross excise tax a dollar a gram regardless what you sell that gram for. Same catlysts Curaleaf is desperately hoping for in USA. Thankfully The Canadian gov review issued a report saying it must be changed when?  Idk regardless Europe will be a far better market and USA with booze and hemp. Canada all we can do is consolidate continue wait out the competition and hopefully the gov cracks down on black market. Same reasons Borris of Curaleaf stated he left California, Michigan, Kentucky and everywhere else that TLRY Tilray brands sells products in mind you

The shorts know this but why point out the root cause?  They want to mis lead and have you believe distortion. Tilray Brands is a profitable buisness it's the gov that's the problem same in USA

It is easy to blame the government, but at the end of the day companies must be nimble enough to adjust and thriive within an existing market or make the decision to leave. As we saw this week, it is very possible the Federal Government will keep the excise tax as is. Doug Ford has launched his strategy to cut down on the illicit market in order to correct the MJ black market that is driving down ...more

Doug ford can eat cheeseburgers like he does all day and night. The excise taxes in Canada have to go because no one is paying anymore. Tilray Brands is paying we owe no taxes. Tilray's strategy in Canada has been by far the most successful in the country. South of the border our business is thriving (not cannabis) but its derivative hemp and alcohol.

I just don't understand when you say Tilray will export its business model from Canada overseas. Tilray will adjust to the regulations of the market at hand. Canadas gov is responsible for the mis haps its that simple. Budweiser would collapse tomorrow if they had to pay the same tax structure as Tilray Brands does. In Europe the tax won't be so ridiculous. Furthermore we can't ...more

Doug Ford to crack down on illegal cannabis?  They can't even stop auto theft in Toronto. Tilray Brands and the industry needs the Feds. Ford needs to crack down on cheese burger eating

It's quite simple really, as Canada matures price compression will continue, so at the very least you have to find a way to produce at a profit in said market. If you opt to ignore the reality you will be faced with the same issue in each market you enter. For example; in Germany as the market opens and matures you will see price compression, this is the natural order of the free market, every ...more

We just see things from different perspectives regarding Tilray brands buisness model.   I feel given the circumstances and government mishaps it's a miracle where we are and will be

I agree, Tilray has grown against steep odds, my biggest concern is the apparent stubborness to pivot the MJ model, CGC has pivoted at the final hour, not sure if it was in time but they realized they had to completely rethink the MJ model. CGC has effectively left Canada, pushing product through 3rd party retail (even the Tilray store sells Wanna brands) but their operations and MJ model are ...more

The reasoning behind the current model is TLRY can gain market share through consolidation and merger. Tilray Brands believes the 6 billion cannabis market in Canada and growing is too big a big deal to leave behind. With competitors falling to the wayside (especially if excise tax is delayed another year). Tilray brands doesn't see price compression as an ongoing issue since the days of legal ...more
