Both parties agreed to the arrangement so it's not theift, you should be more careful choosing your words as well to avoid legal action.

The deal makes perfect sense as long as the denture holder sees a future time where the shares are worth more than $9

Folks playing around with millions of dollars tend to know what they're doing and have more patience than most.  They didn't get to be millionaires by taking losses, that is reserved for the impatient and is a primary driver behind how the rich keep getting richer

Tilray is robbing shareholders in cahoots with the brokers who used their discretionary votes to increase the share count despite the objections of the actual shareholders, while the convertible note holders received a ridiculous 25% bump in their profits. Never a good sign when a company issues more share to pay down debt when the shares are at or near all time lows, it's a strong indication they have little to no better options, it is certainly not good for the already diluted shareholder. Actions like this are why the Tilray share price has the staying power of a wet noodle in a wind storm.
