Be careful that your emotions don't over ride your logic. How I see it is like this:
The company reduced debt.
Their cash is now free for other uses including more product and / or mergers / acquisitions
The lower debt improves the fundamentals
I don't mind if you don't agree with me, frankly I don't care who looks at things and thinks and who just reacts. Just sharing my view.

The fundamental question is why didn't Tilray just sell 25% fewer shares themselves and pay the notes off with cash at maturity in a month ? It's because Simon cares less about existing shareholders than I do, and I don't care at all. How long can they siphon off shares to their creditors and their subsidiaries before the tank is empty? Less than a year. Bank on it.
