As shareholders we have a different perspective, we want more of a laissez-faire attitude. The people of mgl don't want to evolve into a corpocracy or plutocracy as our democracies have. They are concerned with corruption while we see ours as the status quo. 

This is shown in the article which talks about them 'losing millions' while the GOM is trying to balance the development of their natural resources with corporate interests and what's best for the nation. Thus their misstep with last year's minerals law but, they're learning.

While the stock price has suffered in the short-term the future of possibly the least densely populated nation in the world looks bright as they celebrate their Naadam Festival this week.
