Legal Storms Churning
Legal Storms ChurningRecently I saw an ad on TV here in the US seeking clients who suffered an infection (or a relative's death) transmitted by a flexible scope. A quick google showed there are a bunch of law firms out there looking for this type of client. These guys are the 'sharks' of the legal profession. Like sharks smelling blood in the water, they must be smelling upcoming liability. I supect their game plan is to get enough clients to qualify as a class action law suit.
My point here is that while we post mainly about FDA procedures, the European market, how quickly the medical field will get on-board, etc. there is another group looking at this dynamic from a very different perspective. These legal 'sharks' are smart, if nothing else. They follow FDA meetings, reports, etc. They know what is coming down the freeway.
And it looks like they are betting the high-level disinfection of flexible scopes will soon be the basis of a law suit. Talk about a real motivation factor for medical centers to be looking to TSO3 once the FDA clearance is granted.
