RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:FDA stance after approvalDarrow, the points you raise are valid. The 'big boys' in the health care industry do indeed lobby the FDA heavily. But here are some things which have happened since you had that conversation with your friend.
(1) The FDA has approved TSO3's low sterilization process -- with a New Product Code, no less, recognizing it is as new technology. This is a wake-up call for the medical device industry.
(2) The FDA has the submission for sterilization of flexible scopes. I expect it will come later this year or early next. The FDA moves at its own pace. This approval will set things in motion. Exactly how, we don't know yet, but it will.
(3) TSO3 has patents on its technology. The 'big guys' can buys us out, but not steal the technology.
(4) People are dying from 'bug' transmissions via flexible scopes. All the lobying in the world can't cover that up for very long.
You are right to look over your shoulder at what the 'big guys' can do. But I think TSO3, even as a small Canadian company, holds the aces in this card game.
