Bake that rate cake and take a slice out at the same time. Latest Canadian CPI data now says a June cut is on.

Cutting in June would be premature imo.  Not that a quarter percent cut will make much difference, but what exactly is the rush?

The rush is the CAD economy doing bad already and the lag before the cuts will restimulate it.   you need to be ahead of the curve

The Canadian economy deteriorating has more to do with left wing policies detroying the country than it does interest rates being 5%, which historically isn't much higher than average.
