The benefit of back to the office for business owners

Millennials... have found workarounds to play hooky. Nearly 4 in 10 say they’ve taken time off without communicating it to their manager.
 
Similar shares say they “move their mouse” to show they’re still active on their company’s messaging platforms (like Slack or Microsoft Teams) when they’re not really working, and they’ve scheduled a message to send outside of regular hours to give the impression they’re working overtime. There’s a giant workaround culture at play.

Yes this has been happening all over the place, this 'work' from home is a complete joke. Prior covid I used to go work out in the afternoon because my gym was dead, since the 'work' from home scam gyms are jam-packed in the middle of the afternoon. Only a matter of time before this big scam ends and workers return to the office.  Flamingo, do you also hold HOT.UN?

This is a management failure. Failure to recruit and retain ethycal employees.  Failure to assign clear tasks and deadlines, measure performance and monitor work progress. The workers will naturally act in their own interest. I will never blame them.  Especially knowing the same companies will ruthlessly lay them off at the sign of any downturn in business. Or fire them for not getting ...more

This is not management's failure, this is what happens when governments send people free money and let their own workforce stay at home. Now, those crybabies complain about coming back to work for 3 days/week this Fall. I have a neighbour who works from home for the gov and I see him gardening while he talks on the phone doing his "job".   The best solution here to get ...more
