Anyone have any idea what's moving the price today? 275k volume today, up 20% on TSX

For any of you oilers, how long does a drill stem test usually take?

I'd say probably about a week (after open hole operations are complete) to get first hydrocarbons to surface  (heavily dependant on weather) ....the test could then be broken down into flowing periods of several hours and / or several days interspersed with shut-in periods of several hours and / or several days. Not sure what the purpose of all the post guessing whats going on are about. I believe the press release stated we have a quality reserviour of 75M.  I dont believe there is a deeper target like the first well where there were 2 targets.  if there was, Total would have kept drilling as they desired oil. The condensate is excellent and very valuable. Even more than oil. The billion dollar ...more

Agree GoJerez2 with one clarification. The condensate is in solution in the subsurface. There may be a few tests over different intervals, but I don't think there is a separate test for gas vs. condensate. As the gas is brought up to the surface and the pressure and temperature decrease, the liquids in the gas, "condense", or come out of solution, thus the name, condensate. I suspect ...more
