The index measures the performance of the total U.S. investment-grade bond market. The fund generally invests at least 90% of its net assets in component securities of its underlying index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the economic characteristics of the component securities of its underlying index.

5 Cent Iceberg GoneDon't know who the moron was that put the 2MM share block up for sale at 5 cents in a stock that is as illiquid as AGG was. If the idiot wanted out that badly you think he would have tried to approach management to arrange a block trade or something. Fortunate for him/her there were interested buyers. Gold's finally moving a bit, AGG finally releases a positive FS and this moron puts a block of 2MM shares up for sale at 5 cents. Go figure. Maybe if they had of pieced it out they might have gotten a better price given the current buying coming in.
