I was appalled that anybody fell for it and I believe they raised a few million on the tokens. Those people now own tokens and nothing else. Not a cent will ever come back ......never ever.
I don't believe that anybody bought the tokens.
The
STOmarket page showing $67M raised was always a work of fiction.
The
token movements visible on etherscan were always to/from insiders or suspiciously virginal blockchain addresses.
Its also important to note that Security Tokens (STO) are different to bitcoin - the issuer or contract controller can perforrm "Forced Transfer" operations. This means that tokens could potentially be issued on credit, and the issuer has the option to "burn" or force transfer of the tokens at a later date if the credit terms are breached.
