lobe says Amex Exploration rated "speculative buy"

The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, June 20, edition that Canaccord Genuity analyst Jeremy Hoy assumed coverage on Monday on Amex Exploration with a "speculative buy" recommendation following the departure of a colleague. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Hoy set a share target of $4. Analysts on average target the shares at $3.98. Mr. Hoy says in a note, "Overall, we believe Amex offers substantial upside potential in both development and M&A scenarios given its top-tier location in Quebec's Abitibi, the underexplored nature of gold mineralization at Perron, and the project's value being underpinned by the High Grade Zone." The Globe reported on Sept. 16, 2020, that Canaccord Genuity analyst Tom Gallo said Amex Exploration was "a company to keep an eye on." Mr. Gallo began coverage with a "speculative buy" rating and $4.50 share target. The shares were then worth $3.23. The Globe reported on Nov. 24 that Haywood Securities analyst Pierre Vaillancourt had started coverage on Amex Exploration with a "buy" recommendation and share target of $4. The shares could then be had for $1.73.
