Li-Cycle has the edgeLi-Cycle has been around for a while. Larry's only answer for them is that he doesn't know what they are doing and that AMY has patents.
Unfortunately, my professional take, is that Larry has always been the problem with AMY, at least as a spokesperson. Larry, could not sell the fountain of youth to the dying. He is a horrible public speaker and that deters investors.
Mr. Kochhar, CEO of Li-Cycle, is a young and well spoken CEO. He easily communicates his company's message. Even if AMY's tech is better, Larry is not the man to lead them. Li-Cycle is already receiving grants and investors in their 5K a day plant in excess of 25 million dollars. Tesla is even in their adds. Don't think that these mysterious Tier 1's testing AMY's tech aren't testing Li-Cycle as well. Li-Cycle is already in the door and they are financially sound.
AMY, has only one chance to get this right, or they will have to go it alone. There are no predator traders or market conditions affecting AMY's stock. Larry is the number one reason for poor stock performance. Meaningless 3am news releases and rambling podcasts that hardly ever talk about AMY.
Li-Cycle will soon have a public offering, once they are established in U.S., and at that time they will likely crush AMY.
As I have stated before, Apple may not have been a top tier computer company but Steve Jobs was a top tier CEO, and he made Apple what it is today. If you think the best tech will win out, just ask shareholders of Research in Motion (BlackBerry).
Larry better get a great marketing team soon and secure a deal with someone fast, otherwise AMY and Larry will be put out to pasture.
If I were a Tier 1 dealing with AMY, my number one contingent of any deal would be Larry stepping aside.
