Comparing these numbers to AMY's 180 million shares , the number of shares shorted is quite small. On days with very low volume I could see the shorts having an impact. This is why we need news releases with something substsantial. News about upcoming speaking engagements or how US gov policy affects AMY may not attract new investors and increase volume.
