roasts and lemming pie?when i think of HERD i think of the way the natives used to hunt . and they way my uncles non natives did . they let it all come to them. why? TIME was always on their side. they were taught things and learned new ideas to hunt. when other were out running here and there they sat where they knew when and what was comeing thru. they went and studied the groung for everything. my grandfather watched the stars. and showed me them to. he was a farmer . when it was time he would plant by looking to the stars . he would take it off when the stars lined up. -- he would also mke more thatn the others peracre and dollar wise. when market came bigger and better was the product. he never ran wiyh the herd. he marched to a different drum and did really well. i remeber when he bought a piece of property waaayyyyyy outside of town. right next to a rr track. . they said he was crazy. when he sold even his kids and 1 of them was a realtor coudnt believe what he got for it back then. but it became a siding that was important . he farmed that to . now stands a lumber store and the track is gone and so is he but it was the only lumber store around that could unload a train of wood.BEAVER Lumber. funny when i think about it. he invested to. i was a kid but would somehow always be around when they talked. nosy i guess. them old folks sure knew alot. i dont do stuff with the stars. but when i cash a check i have a few in my eyes-lol... he also told me to always count on the conservative side. now that could mean a couple of things. -- well time to have a steak.
