NVIDIAs Ecosystem for Product Development:

NVIDIAs Ecosystem for Product Development: Consists of 96 companies which they mesh with NVIDIAs Scientists & Techs for product development.  In this group of 96 there are 15 in the High Performance Computing Dept.  14 plus Acceleware. The rest of the companies revolve around gaming and other detailed applications.

So as you can imagine my first intensions are to check out the other 14 HPC companies.  My findings, only two do software acceleration and both of those are for specific industries 1- Oil and Gas and 1- Financial only.  Now I don't need to or mean to belittle the other 14 cos.   I did check out all 14 websites for details, none of them have more than two business partners, and going over there press release history, none of them have been called in by Nvidia for input. weird.

So when NVIDIA calls in Acceleware I had envisioned 5 - 7 companies coming together for big product powwow.

Not really the case, the more you dive into this the more you'll find it's just NVIDIAs techs and Accelewares techs doing Fermi upgrades.  So what turns Fermi into a Kepler?  Accelerated computing power and algorithms using less power. Sounds familiar.  So this begs the questions.

- Is Paradigm 2011 just Acceleware software in a Paradigm Box?
- Is Kepler just Fermi with Acceleware software given a new name?

These are just two (2) companies that Acceleware is dealing with and what are they investing.
Paradigm 2011 $65million and what about Paradigm 2012 -13 -14?
NVIDIA Kepler - $2 Billion to be invested just in the development alone, and to be completed in one year starting 2 months ago.  What did Fermi cost? and the Upgraded Fermi?  How much is Maxwell going to cost in 2013?
and who is going to accelerate that machine? and all the Kepler upgrades until Maxwell?

I'm sorry I had to beat it to death, but that money has to go somewhere.

We are moving into exciting times and I'm really glad to be a part of it.

till next time glta.
