Well mineralised skarn, weak porphyry?
Sandor,
Wrt the director: He essentially got angry and lashed out at my assertion that the porph could (not would) be weakly mineralised. Why? I don't know.
Firstly, the phenomenon is a known one in situations where the porph is hosted as is the case with this company.
Secondly, in such cases, the skarn may well prove to be better endowed with mineralisation that would otherwise be the case.
As for tonnage (and grade), it is too early to guestimate....even, I dare say for SD (who really is the bees knees).
Patience.....as ever!!

Thanks - I've been trying to find more information on this phenomenon ever since QH first mentioned it in a Crescat podcast. Do you know of any existing projects/mines that have/had strong skarn but weak porph? Or do you know of any publications or articles that discuss this?

There are a lot of studies (some very detailled) that are available on the web - a quick search will inundate you with info.
