6 million + oz for sureNote their statement that ......... "The previous explorer suggested potential for 100 Mt at 1.1 to 1.2 g/t gold, however a review of the historical data indicates that early drilling was parallel to higher grade (greater than 5 g/t gold) structures at surface. Hence, in addition to greater mineralized tonnage, significantly higher overall grades are anticipated from better geological understanding, results of the Company's detailed sampling, and properly oriented drill holes. "
The grades of the current drill program are much higher , and they have added to both the depth and the strike length.
This means that more than the 100 million tons historically defined and higher grades.
3.7 million oz of contained gold in the original 100 m tons at 1.15 gms/ton becomes at least 6.4 million oz at 2 gms/ton.
Then , of course, they have added to the volume of ore.
The source rocks in the feeder zones below this surface zone generally tend to be of much higher grade and the tonnages can be significant , depending on the erosion and uplift processes.
They have yet to drill these deeper feeder zones, but that source rock could be just as large as the erosional surface zone that the current drill program is defining.
Conclusion............... 5 million oz of open pit resources almost certainly right now, with the upside quite likley being above 10 million oz , and perhaps up to 20 million oz once they begin to drill the deeper feeder rocks.
Before then, Gold corp will have swallowed us up.
