Assays Pending So, as of two weeks ago the tally was two dry Oban holes down, two relatively speaking nearby single malt holes to go--Talisker and Glenfiddich--which we still await.
There is also #163,an orphan belonging to the territorys of neither of the nearby single malts.
Regardless, the dry Oban holes #151 and #152 indicated ore grades in decline away from the fabled #150. Perhaps any system related to Oban #150 is to be found in the two remaining single malts (and #163) as they lie in three different directions from #150.
It's nice to see Outlaw done with. If Oban's #150 was Moscow Outlaw was in Siberia.
The six Chivas holes to come represent Gary Thompson's most significant Thorn bet clustered as they are closely together as befits their blended namesake.
It's time for me to drown these metaphors. 'Bartender pour me a Chivas on the rocks. Make that a double and keep em coming.'
Cheers!
