RE:RE:RE:Bison goes activist against Pipestone's disgraced boardIt is a good publicity to Josh and potentially a lucrative one if Riverstone really did undermine the M&A process and GMT doesn't agree. Tough to get the top bid during AECO crash and forest fires. Heard indirectly (rumors) other E&P's were looking at it so don't think they offered it to Strathcona directly. Also a good back up plan for Pipestone if the eastern wells come in poor (insurance?). But if they come in good before the vote would it elicit a higher offer from Crescent Point or Paramount? $20 million is chump change really, especially given oil price spiking a bit since. IMHO.
