RE:What's that saying? Hi Stonecrop,
- I didn't end up participating in the PP after all because it was a hassle to do it with a registered account, the PP was already pretty much booked, and I could buy open market for the same price which I ended up doing instead.
- I know 1 small fund personally which own about 1M+ shares, but there are some other institutions which I do not know about. I know more the retail side unfortunately. It's hard for me to comment on this point.
- The company has been getting more attention from investors I know. The investors I usually chat with already own the stock after I repeatedly kept telling them about it :)
- I loosely follow AirIQ and TrackX. I think the sentiment is still the same for TrackX, but I haven't looked at the company in a while. There's only so much time in a day and I only have the bandwidth keep track of so many stocks -- my day job keeps me plenty busy. That's why I love the long-term approach and only holding a few stocks at a time. In regards to AirIQ, it's not in the same space as BeWhere because it's a telematics company. They do GPS tracking over 3G cellular (they just moved from 2G to 3G as the 2G towers are being decommissioned). Telematics units are really just for tracking vehicles in a fleet. The units are mounted inside the vehicle, the vehicle battery is the power source usually unless there's a back-up battery which only lasts a few days at most, and they can be connected inside the vehicle to systems to measure fuel and other stuff. BeWhere's beacons are to track or monitor ANY asset. You can watch the presentation on their website or Owen's presentation at the GSMA summit (temperature sensors at Henry of Pelham winery) for examples of this: https://www.gsma.com/iot/mwca-vid7/

Another test at the 40 level, albeit, it wasn't with much ooomph today, but still, it's nice to see some strength coming over top of the bids into the close with more 40's being munched on. This stock sure seems to be on the verge of breaking out into all-time highs (testing late '16/early '17 highs) under the Bewhere umbrella. I like buying stocks at all-time highs with no prior resistance to work its way through (ie. disgruntled shareholders waiting to exit). Be nice to see some bigger players (GMP/Clarus/Beacon/Mackie/RJ/IA...anyone will do) swoop in once and for all and clean up the market...big volume last Friday...patience grasshopper I tell myself.
Matthew, I really appreciate, like others, you generously sharing your insights at this small corner here at SH, you bring a wealth of experience to the table. I realize you're a long-term investor but seeing how you disclosed you got into the recent PP and have been in BEW since the early days, do you have any thoughts on the players/institutions involved (besides whatshisname from Kelowna who gets on BNN all the time) and the specific market action as of late...post financing? I know you engage with some very smart microcap players over at Ian Cassel's stable (I'm considering subscribing..."view only"), how are some of them feeling of late about Bewhere in relation to your investment thesis? You have voiced previous comments in regards to Trackx (which proved you being on the right horse per others pro views on TKX), I was also wondering if you have followed Wimmer's AirIQ pick from a few years back which seems to be in the same space?
