BlackRock Municipal Income Trust (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from federal income taxes. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in investments the income from which is exempt from federal income tax (except that the interest may be subject to the alternative minimum tax). The Fund may invest directly in securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives. The Fund's investment policies provide that it invests at least 80% of its total assets in investment grade quality municipal obligations issued by or on behalf of states, territories and possessions of the United States and their political subdivisions, agencies or instrumentalities, each of which pays interest that, in the opinion of bond counsel to the issuer, is excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes. Its investment adviser is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.

Investors are trading based on many factors.  Long term they will be buying for future expectations of the company, short-term traders may be trading based on what they think the INDEX fund managers will do and how that may reflect on the price. 

Likely some traders seen it coming and played their position based on their expectation of how the share price would react.

HARJAY wrote: Anybody think that Hexo's weakness last few days , and maybe even last few weeks becuse the index funds had a incling that HEXO would be dropped from their index funds and started  selling off even before the fact while the gen mkt is positive is because the index funds who have to divest themsleves of HEXO stock are  causing undue selling pressure and it will contnue till June 22 the deadline.  Think that i'm not concerned about temp HEXO weakness  and lack of participation in the gen. mkts when we have good days like today until the 22 and then we will see if the mkt will reward HEXO for that improved qtr. after that removal date.

Just putting that thought out there .
