RE:RE:Re-completion effort
onward...and...onward....?
Elsewhere in Tunisia, Africa Hydrocarbons Inc. (NFK), down a cent to 13.5 cents, and DualEx Energy International Inc. (DXE), down half a cent to 20 cents, are facing more delays at their Bouhajla permit. It is now almost one year since they spudded their BHN-1 exploration well. The spud date itself was delayed by over a year and half, and when the rig finally got to work, it quickly encountered problems perforating the reservoir. The companies spent a few months working out a recompletion program, promised to carry it out in April, but then hit more delays bringing in a workover rig. Africa Hydrocarbon's April 23 press release said to expect the rig in mid-May. Its new SEDAR filings, however, say this has been pushed back to late May. The companies' patient shareholders continue to wait. Recompletion will take about two weeks, and test results could be in around six weeks after that, based on an Oilprice.com interview with Africa Hydrocarbons' chief executive officer, John Nelson, on April 5. He thinks they will be worth the wait. "In over 27 years, I haven't seen many wells with this kind of risk-reward," he told his interviewer. "... Real success just on our first well would turn us from an explorer into an intermediate producer immediately.".....
