RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Day 42

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Day 42The EAC is the 1st step in becoming a mine. The EAC is an effects assessment determining whether or not the proposed project would adversely affect the environment. The EAO no adverse effects decision in 2012 was essentially a flashing green light until Lake got some indians to draft a letter to aid them in turning it down...but that's another story. - - - my point is, that it is really just the 1st step and is preliminary. It is during the mines permitting stage where design, bonds, contingencies etc are established to ensure best practices are used to mitigate potential risk. So if the gov granted PBM an EAC it would not mean they are a mine, it means they have a very good chance. Take for example, Red Chris (Imperial mine near Dease Lake). They have spent hundreds of millions already constructing the mine but have yet to get their final permit and might not now due to the breach at mt polley.
