RE:RE:RE:Meeting

RE:RE:RE:Meeting
FNs do not have veto over resource projects in BC !  The Morrison project would not be approved even if FNs agreed to it.

PBM has no need to even think about FN support until their input is received during consultations of the new application.  That is at least a year away.  When PBM has started a new application and the terms of reference have been agreed to and the proposed mine plan has been presented for consultations, THEN you can start worrying about FN support and what needs to be done.  Not now.

Step 1 is a project scope statement to start a new EA application.

Step 2 is a terms of reference that the Ministry agrees with.

Step 3...

There is no quick fix for PBM to get a certificate.  There is no way to bring the old application back to life.  There is no mechanism in courts or in legistlation to force the Ministry to ever consider that application again.  And even if they did consider it a FOURTH time, nothing has changed since when it was first submitted.   They would deny it again, with or without FN support.

Why can't people see this ?

Stop trying to revive the old application.  Start working on the new one.   Start with replacing John, Erik and Ruth with some real leadership.

Real leadership would not be talking about reviving the old application.   The old application is dead.  The Ministry is not going to let PBM copy and paste the old materials into a new application and then rubber stamp it because FN is now miraculously on board.

Real leadership would have selected an engineering team to tackle a new/modified mine plan.    Real leadership would have presented a budget and timeline for moving PBM forward.

Real leadership would not have hired a retired electrical engineer to write a report that suggests "other factors were at play".   The biggest other factor at play in this project is that PBM did nothing substantial except argue with the Ministry for the 10 years since the application was first submitted.  Nice move, people. Shake my head.

All that is water under the bridge.  The best thing shareholders can do now is assemble a committee to handle firing mangement, selecting new leadership and figuring out who gets a seat on the board.  Ideally some of this work would be done by the AGM.
