It's worth a google - actual a lot of big studies on it with every name change and what happen - the vast majority see abnormal volume and positive share price influence before and after in the short term.  In the long term it's obviously on the fundamentals on the company - the research doesn't differentiate if this is because of the name change itaelf or because the companies

Digrdan First Laurier is not exactly a well know expert in the stock market.  To be clear most studies have shown that there is no affect to company name change unless it is structural in nature ie the result of a corporate reorganization, a merger or a change of ownership through acquisition or amalgamation.  Now go back to school and learn how to read a study and do a statistical
