BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy, Aleksandar Antic said today that in the next few years be closed mines Vrka Cuka, Bogovina, Ibarski and Senjski mines, or mining in Serbia has perspective and announced the opening of new mines near Bor and Loznica. Anti announced large investments in mining basin Kolubara, Kostolac power plant, where, he says, expect better conditions for work and modernization.
"In the pits that have a perspective we must do modernization. Today miners working hands, shovels and this production is still pretty primitive," said the Minister.
Speaking of RTB Bor, Antic said that it was very important that he made a new smelter that will now work on the selection of professional management, and then to find a strategic partner for that company.
Asked whether it is possible to be a partner in China, Antic said that the political relations between China and Serbia in expansion, and as a consequence, the growth of economic cooperation.
"When China wants, it can. They showed that Serbia is the most important partner in the region. However, we will not wait just to China, we will talk with everyone," said the Minister.
Speaking of dugavanjima for shift work miners, Antic said that the debts date back to 2005, according to court rulings with interest the state owes two million, and to hope that this problem solved in the next two or three years.
Minister of Mining and Energy says it plans to open two mines - one at the Bora and others in the vicinity of Loznica.
