Turkey received only $416US/ton for boron last yearIn 2015, 1,94 million tonnes of boron was sold by Eti Maden – an equivalent of 809 million US Dollars. That is to say, 97% of its sales revenues were from exports. 
The consumption of boron products throughout the world is close to 4 million tonnes annually. Approximately 50% of the 2015 world boron demand is met by Eti Maden.
Eti Maden, who carries out the production of chemical boron compounds, became the world leader in the sector in 2005, with its wide range of products. Eti Maden’s production capacity is 2,2 million tonnes annually. Eti Maden produced 436.000 tonnes of chemical boron compounds in 2002, and this rose to 1,84 million tonnes in 2015.The programme for 2016 is planned as 2,2 million tonnes of chemical boron compounds.
