RE:Villages across Serbia demonstrating against arrogant investAnything can or has happened in a country like Serbia, but I think EV is at lower risk of a RT/Jadar like revolt from the public w.r.t. Piskanja.

First, few of us that were here with EV in 2005 would have too many kind words for RT. A quick google search of them will show they won't be a runner-up for the most-ethical-company in the world award.

Second, B is not Li. I find it ironic that the climate alarmists who dream of a future with e-vehicles, know nothing of the ecological devastation that can happen with a Li mine.

Lastly, Piskanja is in a mining friendly region. In fact, switching from mining coal to borates would be a plus for the local ecology and health of the miners. I think producing Boric acid can involve some nasty chemicals, but just digging up borates, crushing it and bagging it, is pretty clean...all things considered.
