August was a hot month for gold and silver miners, defying seasonality.  Now with gold prices higher, Indian Wedding season gold sales are likely to be lower than expected, a negative to seasonality.

Earlier, we also had the Fed cooperating in a way the drove PM prices higher.  That does not help stock markets.  Going into an election, the Fed always supports the incumbent, so they will not be doing anything now in regards to interest rates until election time.

However, there is always the possibility of an unexpected event coming along to change things, like some sudden banking crisis someplace in the world -  more likely now than ever.
