Significance of Herceptin

Significance of HerceptinHerceptin sales in 2010: $5.7 bn. Growing by 8% annually.
Herceptin is coming off patent protection in 2014.

If BTI's p97 enhances Herceptin performance, than in 2014, when this mega expensive drug comes off of patent protection, BTI would be allowed to sell their formulation of p97+Herceptin, provided they get approved by the FDA.

Let me just say that again: $5.7bn!
