Disrupting the BBB is not considered the best approach in delivering the drugs, but it is great to see they were able to get anti-β-amyloid antibody across. It will be interesting to see what was the actual increase in permeability and the actual increase in the drug uptake by the brain.
I found this brief helpful in understanding different approaches to crossing the bbb, including the disruption method and the vector mediated transport with receptors.
