The Roche "Brain Shuttle" method of crossing the BBB has been mentioned for a couple of years on this forum. It uses a different transferrin protein that biOasis uses. It is capable of transferring about 1 to 1½ per cent of an injected (I mean, infused, ahem...) dose across the BBB compared to 4 to 6 percent (and higher) by biOasis's Transcend.

But there are some quotes about the Roche Shuttle method in an article (found here) that are interesting and informative. You can see the value of the Roche Brain Shuttle. Imagine the value of Transcend that can use far smaller doses to achieve the same results as the Roche Shuttle or that can introduce far greater doses where needed.

I have some things to say about biOasis and the current share price. My comments might be a little (or very) critical of biOasis but, as always, it ain't what we say, it's what we do that counts. I'm holding biOais, fully, completely, confidently. I'll try to write my comments today and get them on my blog later today or tomorrow.

I'm not too interested in holding hands with worried investors through this dip. I'm very much at peace with biOasis. It's been documented that 3 large molecule cancer drugs (paclitaxel, adriamycin and Herceptin) have been transported across the BBB with p97 (melanotransferrin) and/or Transcend. Three for three is pretty convincing, don't you think?
