I am going to assume you are a Canadian here.

A LOSS is a LOSS whether 100% or 75%  as you mentioned.

WHY would you have to " dump " anything??

A loss  is a loss and will be carried forward until you used it against a GAIN!

So why the rush?  You don't have to sell anything right now!

When you have some winners you know they will be tax free because you can use your loss against your gain.

I know you know that! So why your post?
