Does BTU not trust their geologists?

I read that BTU hired a firm specalizing in Artificial Intelligence to tell them where to drill. Will they lay off their geologists to save money? Perhaps they could simply buy an Ouija board or hire a Tarot card reader? How bout hire The Amazing Kreskin. He would work cheap. Maybe get a monkey to throw a dart at a map or is that what they are doing now?
