1) BWD
has a very large land position in the Alberta Bakken. It's 2nd only to CPG. I also invite you to check recent prices paid per acre in the region by CPG and others and compare them to BWD's costs.
2) LEG (smart players by all accounts) thinks enough of the BWD's potential to throw $8mm at BWD just to be there and also commit to 2 wells at an addditonal cost of $4mm(my guess) per well.
3) CPG has to be watching and now knows BWD's property next door to them is prospective to their (CPG'S) peers. You can take it to the bank, they are paying attention.
4) Based on 1, 2 and 3 above BWD has obviously increased it's potential market valuation. Selling today means little to me. Buy on rumour sell on news has been part of the markets modus operandi, forever. And yes, some here, by their own admissions heard the rumours! LOL!!
5) Now add this!! If just one player in this "area "play were to hit with one of their drills, BWD and all others will benefit and more than materially. Other area plays which became "hot" such as Montney, Cardium, etc. were good for all stocks in those areas. IT CAN and WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!!
