AB Bakken

Is it coinicdence that some of the companies working the area have loaned the area the "Bakken" name? When in fact the zones they are tapping have other names... My point is simply this... MAYBE... this S Alberta area isn't "Bakken" maybe it is Bakken-"like"... and IF that is the case then... it would do investors well to understand that The SK Bakken is far from a homogenous continuous OR contiguous play... there are good spots, great spots... sweet spots and spots adjacent to those 3 "types" that can only be characterized as BAD spots...

I do FULLY agree that it is still very early... a whole lot of ground work is ahead of everyone... BUT do not overlook the fact that our Farmee is moving forward with a Multi-Stage Frac on the FIRST well... make no mistake... LEG knows all about the "spotty" SK Bakken... and for a small operator they have tons of expereince bringing this stuff to life...

In any case... this is ground floor Opportunity... it is going to take time... and some financing (dilution) before there's any real "pop and fizz" in the share price... Give this one a wake up call about 3 years dowen the road.

Good post. I would disagree on the price appreciation as the market is telling a different story on D3 and Argrosy.

Wow, Raven, I sure hope you don't have some special knowledge about bad news that may be coming down the pike!

I would disagree as well. I think they want production as soon as possible. Start producing to storage tanks and the cash flow begins. Pipeline can come later as they can tie more than one well in when the time is right. Production now can save dilution of shares later on. Figure it out for yourselves,200 to 400 bbls per day, thats alot of cash per month.Just my opinion.

Cash flow from 400BOE/D (generous prod number???)  is simply NOT going to cut it... a long HZ multi-stage frac at the depth they are drilling here is going to run North of $2MM and probably closer to $3.5-4MM. now factor in flowlines, batteries, et al... and to bring production to somewhere (assuming IP of 300BOE/D) around 5K BOE/D a 15 well program will run about $50MM... OF course that ...more

An attractive point to Bowood's land holdings is that there are production facilities in place nearby, so a pipeline to tie in to the facility is not a negative issue but a bonus to them. And there will be no financings. They are in a good cash position and have revenues from production. At some point, Legacy will buy Bowood's piece of their holdings they are involved in, at the very least. ...more

I think mentioned 200 to 400,but anyway lets use 400 a day x 100.00 bbl x 365 days=$14,600,000.00 and you wouldn't be happy with that? There is no need to build pipelines now, spot 400 barrel tanks and truck the oil for now. I think this is the beginning of something very special.

Oh I think there will be great news and a nice increase in share price a lot sooner than 3 years, sounds a little like you are trying to keep the price down so you can buy more shares,we shouldn't be greedy there is enough for everyone who wants in. Time will tell.
