Nexen hit oil. Close to BWD lands.

13-28-011-24W4 NFW > NEXEN KEHO 13-28-11-24 Nabors Drilling - Conventional Rigs 60 4,020.0 01/17/11 03/11/11 3,522.0 OIL OIL

This well is rumoured to be flowing at 600 BOPD choked back to 16/64' choke setting.  BWD well 18 miles south.

That's a nice well to be flowing at that rate with the choke size, poise. It will be interesting to see numbers after all the land acquisitions are done. Apparently lands that are quite a bit North of the current South Alta Bakken play are being looked at for horizontal style production

That Nexen well is approx. 5 miles NW of Nobleford. In other words it's approx. 50 miles north of the BWD well. Check your range/township numbers Poise. You're a little off course!!! The Nexen well is about 8 townships to the north. Crescent Point has 2 wells drilling 3 miles and 5 miles to the north of the Nexen well near Barons.

OK, thought you were talking about the BWD well that is currently being drilled. If the 2nd Nexen well along the Nobleford/Granum highway hits oil and the  2 CPG wells at Barons are also successful, then we could be looking at a significant sweet spot between Nobleford and Barons.

You are hinting at the question I wanted to ask so I hope you will answer it. From what I am hearing/reading there is a lot of interest and land sought in the northwest part of the Alberta Bakken trend and also interest in the Second White Specks formation. I own BWD and GSY( which you may be hinting at- I can't tell). Does anyone on this board know of any small companies that might benefit ...more

I didn't see a question here... looks like this post is more or less an underhand promo for someone sitting on some minerals in the nobleford area hoping that by leaving a few crumbs some folks that fancy themselves astute will find the company this fella is alluding to...Eye on the ball Peeps... keep your eye on the ball... and the prize... No trades yet today? I don't have real time but don't see any on Stockhouse. Unusual isn't it to not be trading by now?
