News On Friday

Always worried when news comes out on a Friday. Golden PR rule is bad news late Friday gives it not time to run. Hope we don't see anything until early next week.

Ya I'm a bit confused about why its trading down. Hopefully news drops after market or tomorrow morning. Nuttal sounded enthusiastic about the results saying the Alberta Bakken could be worth a few dollars per share for Legacy. TORC just licensed another well at Amelia, up by Argosy. I don't think they would just throw their money away and we are on trend at Kipp. Its been a much longer ...more

is news out yet?

No news out yet and doubtful until next week sometime at the earliest. IMO. While NR from Monday stated a NR in a few days, Bowood is waiting for Leagacy to confirm when (not if) the Kip well will go on production. With the Kip well being a confidential well Bowood has to wait for Legacy to give the o.k. before any release can be made public. BTW- If this was a dry well(as other ...more

I did not say it IS a dry hole. I said from the way it was  trading, LOOKS like a dry hole...Anyway,  it is down agagin .... all the way from 365 to 235... it is not  normal. esp. there is pending news.

I stand corrected jd on the dry well comment.I do agree with you that that the trading down is suspicious. I would suspect that the answer is multiple things. My guess is on the one side there's tax loss selling (tis the season) and on the other side risk aversion selling to do with all the Europe debt crap. Also, with so little really known about the Alberta Bakken at this ...more

If the well was going to be bad, Legacy wouldn't of gotten the positive analyst report. All in due time. News is better on a Monday, anyways, instead of on a Friday. Odds are Legacy will buyout Bowood by years end.

I've got a question. Does anyone know how to look up the production figures for the wells that have come off confedential? I keep hearing them referenced but have no clue how to find out what the results are. I wish the result would have been out before market open today but at this point no delay will shock me. Haha.
