RE: RE: Canadian ATACThe only way I see working my investments in turbulent times like this, is to ensure that besides
some good cash sitting on the sidelines to take advantage of some buying opps, is to ensure that the balance of my portfolio is strategically placed in the absolute best of the juniors with the best managment and project potentials so that when the gold and silver break loose and go parabolic, I am not left sitting
on the sidelines sotospeak. I sleep very very well at nite holding Atac under my pillow and will
continue to do so.
But while we are awaiting such to occur and there's nothing good to read today out there, here's something
interesting I found that I thought I would share to break up the negativity on the boards today.
In performing some DD on another little company called Goldstrike that caught my atttention, I uncovered
a whole raft of geological info, on not only the Yukon but specifically more pertaining specifically to the
Orisis and Tiger zone and the regional geology associated with them.
What I also discovered was that there was a team of individuals who, next to Archer Cathro who is King
of the Yukon, lead the prospecting and staking of several very important discoveries in the early 1990's
who were part of a syndicate. One of these properties was the Coffee Creek now owned by Kaminak.
The two sites that provide this information I am referring to are firstly found on the ycsynidate site under
the heading "An Early Entrance Opportunity to the Yukon Gold Rush" and secondly, located on the Goldstrike website itself under the heading for "gold properties" and then "Sten NW property" , which provides detailed information and maps concerning the regional settings for both the
Orisis and the Tiger zones. Outside of Atac's own website, I have never encountered this much detailed background information in aiding investors to get a grasp as to the potential unfolding in the Yukon today.
Contained on page 1 of "An Early Entrance......" it states, ....." and the discovery of high grade
Carlin-style mineralization by Atac Resources in a thick sedimentary unit on the edge of the MacKenzie Platform, Macquaire Capital Markets regards the Atac gold discoveries as particularly significant
because the Carlin Trend in Nevada is host to over 100 million ounces of past production and resources.
Macquarie believes the Atac discovery demonstrates the potential for a 20 million ounce plus
Carlin-type gold district in Yukon.
" If the pace of early exploration successes in any way signals the longer term success rate as much
more exploration money flows into the area, there will be many more discoveries made in the coming
years.
"Speculation is mounting that based on various factors including the rapid discovery rate, the Yukon
has the potential to develop in a fashion similar to Nevada where exploration companies were incredibly successful at discovering new million ounce deposits once they began to understand
the geological controls on mineralization and honed the exploration methods for finding and defining
these billion dollar deposits."
Some of the info contained in the regional setting info on their site under their "STEN NW/RACKLA" claims are as follows but worth reading the whole presentation for sure......
1) Government regional silt anomalies on the attached map of the Orisis area clearly show the
distinctive geochemical gold-arsenic-mercury-thallium signature. The same geochemical signature
can be recognized father west on Atac's claims, directly south of YC's STEN NW and RACKLA claim blocks."
2)The Orisis discovery is associated with a cluster of minor gold silt anomalies (90th and 95th percentile) .......... The high density of 98th and 99th percentile regional gold, arsenic and mercury silt anomalies in this region of the Yukon-wide dataset suggest that this is an unusually highly mineralized
area compared to the Territory as a whole. "
3) On Sept 1, Atac announced drill results for a new discovery named Orisis, 99 km east of Rau, in a 25x5km belt of anomalous arsenic, thallium, mercury in silt.. The gold occurs in Limestone of
Proterozoic -Lower Cambrian age in the hinge zone of a moderately plunging platform......." etc, and on
and on it goes with a a host of excellent and informative info worth a good read.
I am attaching these links to shorten the search time but as always, I've not had alot of success with doing so, so please just copy and paste if the following does not work well.
