RE: Stepping up to the PlateFolks, i also note that the quarter mil block of SMD, though it is obviously not 8 mil, is still a pretty big bet on ATC as well. Last i took the time to figure it out about 1/3rd of the market cap of SMD is tied up in ATC shares. I bought equal parts of both on Friday. As much as ATC has been crushed lately SMD has been beaten down even worse, and with so much of its value being driven by its exposure to ATC and a few other major players in the Yukon you have to look at it as a proxy play for ATC, and perhaps a better value one at that.
