Kolomoyskiy removed from position as Governor

Kolomoyskiy removed from position as Governorthe oiligarch, Kolomoyskiy, stepped down as governor of a central region.  Poreshenko appointed  head of another region as temporary governor. They must have reached some tentative deal.

I also notice that the guy  Poreshenko appointed as head of the Ukrnafta is now only the temporary head..
Kolomoyskiy had called him a russian sympathizer. Now the new head of Ukrnafta will be hired publically  with more  visibility on the process. I think Proshemko is playing on  Kolomoyskiy's desire to keep the central region as part of Ukraine. That seems to be the thin sliver of commonality that they share. Beyond that, these two will probably clash again.

Public arrests of the head of Emergency services and his deputy.  The Ukranians are trying their best to show they are making progress on  changes  to fight corruption.

The head of Stratfor is spinning the decline of Russia and Putin's grip on power. Says the Russian economy is hurting and that outlying regions are  talking more about seceding as the money flows from Moscow slow down. Putin  will have a tough time  holding on to power over the next 1-2 years despite the high public poll ratings  right now.

Lots of interesting stuff going on.
